Background
Thelonious Records are a collective of enthusiastic musicians and other creatives committed to documenting live audio delights from Wellington, New Zealand.
Opportunity
Thelonious needed an easily recognisable, eye-catching visual identity that could work on its own and also super small on the back of records they release.
Solution
A simple black and white palette ensuring readability across different record designs, along with the custom letter t – including the circle to represent the records – allowed for a brand wordmark, icon, along with horizontal and vertical combinations for ease of use while still keeping it easily recognisable.
